Check out the article on Time Is On Your Side. “Does your spring “to-do” list grow faster than your bean plants? Use these tips we gathered from our test team and other experienced Gardeners around the country to get more done in less time.”

Planning
Organize before planting, choose plants that are hardy, group together plants with similar soil and watering needs, and plant close together to cut down on weeding.

Vegetable garden
Begin with started plants, consistent, deep watering once a week and mulch.

Flowerbeds
Plant long-blooming perennials, deadhead daily, and cover ground with short perennials like creeping thyme or phlox and they will act as mulch.

Weed and pest control
Weed when wet, deal with young dandelions, and plant pest and disease resistant plants.

Lawn Care
Leave the clippings on the grass, cut high and bag the leaves in the fall.

Reading the above magazines will turn you into a competent gardener.
Magazines check out for 14 days.
