The Edge of Nowhere takes place on Whidbey Islands (Washington state) as a Becca King tries to establish a new life after running from the whispers that told her that her step-father had murdered his business partner. She comes into contact with kind and cruel classmates and adults, experiences homelessness and helps solve the mystery of athlete Derric's fall in a local forest park. I loved the setting of this book and the subtle level of ESP Becca lives with. There will HAVE to be a sequel if not a trilogy because there is much left unanswered at the end (torture!!)
