Readers
of all ages will explore all things underground this summer as the Hibbing
Public Library presents our Summer Reading Program “Dig into Reading” for
children under 12 and “Beneath the Surface” for Young Adults/Teens up to age
19.
Our
themed programs are about the wonders under our feet: vegetables, buried
treasure, evidence of ancient civilization, dinosaur bones, animals, and much
much more!
Hibbing
Public Library will entertain with programs, Friday prize drawings, and story
times, as well as the St. Louis County Fair Read & Win program for the
month of July.
Events
the week of June 3rd include:
- Monday, June 3rd @ 10:00 a.m. – Registration Starts
- Tuesday, June 4th @ 10:00 a.m. – Story Time - This week's theme is Treasure Hunting. Listen to a story, sing silly songs, do a Treasure Chest craft and other fun things! Come join us for an hour of fun and learning for pre-schoolers and parents.
- Thursday, June 6th @ 2:00 p.m. - 321 Studio Presents a Treasure Hunt at the Library – Amy and Nancy will read their Treasure Hunting book and then you will color and build your own Treasure Chest. When your Treasure Chest is ready, groups of treasure hunters will be given maps to find the hidden treasure in the library!
