Social Security Online Services

No internet access at home?  Use the library computers for all of your Social Security Online Services.  There are a number of things you can do online and not have to stand in line. 
  • Apply for retirement, spouse's or disablility benefits
  • Estimate your retirement benefits
  • Use the benefit planners
  • Request a Medicare replacement card and apply for "Extra Help" with the prescription drug program
  • Sign up or change your direct deposit
  • Change your address or phone number, if you receive benefits
  • Get help understanding your Social Security Statement or request one
  • Get information in 15 foreign languages
  • Sign up for e-mail updates
All of these services are at your fingertips with a computer and Internet access.  Bring your library card to the front desk, pick up a pin number, and use any open computer.
