Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris

Sookie Stackhouse is back with her assortment of friends and relatives in Bon Temps, Louisiana.
Book 12 in the series, Sookie is surrounded with vampires, werewolves, witches, elves, shape shifters and her own family of fairies.

I have read all of Charlaine Harris's books, I think she is a great writer. But like most other reviewers have said, this book falls short. The story line was just okay, nothing made me want to stay up reading all night to finish the book. It's obvious from this book that Sookie is not going to end up with Eric. It's almost too obvious that she is going to end up with Sam. To me that is bogus because in all of the other books, there was never any feelings between Sookie and Sam. Don't get me wrong, I like Sam's character, but there should have been hints to a possible romantic connection a few books back. I did like how Charlaine wrapped up the fae world, and I think a lot of the connections to other characters is to tie up any loose ends before the final book so you aren't left wondering what happened. Hopefully the final book focuses more on Sookie's relationships, and that we are all satisified with the ending.
